How do I Schedule a Mass Intention Online?

1.) Go to the Schedule A Mass Intention page.

2.) For each intention, select an available Mass time (teal color). Add the name of the person who the intention is for. Select the occasion, and, if needed, add a note. 

3.) Add to Cart and Proceed to Checkout. You will receive a confirmation email.

Do I have to leave a note?
No. You may leave it blank.

How do I indicate that my Mass intention is a 10th anniversary of death or 1st wedding anniversary?
First, select the occasion.
Next, in the “Notes” section simply type “10th Anniversary” or “1st Anniversary."

Can I still get a physical Mass card?
Yes. To receive a physical Mass card, please check "Send Mass Card" under your intention.  Our office staff will mail the Mass card to your address. We can also mail the Mass card to a different address indicated by you in “Notes." We can also leave the card for you for pick up at the Ministry Center at 8624 W. Normal Avenue in Niles.

Can I pick up the card the same day?
Yes.  Our Ministry Center weekday hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. Our offsite answering service takes messages while we're closed -- so if it's after hours you could also email [email protected]

How many Mass intentions do you accept per mass?
Currently, at Our Lady of Ransom, we are accepting one intention per Mass. On Wednesday (8:15am Mass) and Saturday (5pm Vigil Mass) we accept up to 5 Mass intentions. If there are additional spots -- such as on days when more Mass opportunities are scheduled/offered, it will be noted on the Mass Intention Calendar.

How many Mass intentions can I schedule in a calendar year?
Currently, for the remainder of this calendar year -- from June-December 2021 -- you can schedule 6 Mass intentions per family.

How do I make my donation online?
Currently, you can only use a credit card to donate for a Mass intention scheduled online. If you wish to use a check or cash, we are happy to accommodate you -- but you will need to call the office during our regular weekday hours (9-4) on M-F at 847-823-2550 to arrange the Mass intention.
