Becoming Catholic (RCIA)

When they brought their boats to the shore, they left everything and followed him.

—Luke 5:11

Do you feel called by Christ to enter the Roman Catholic Church? Adults who desire to become Catholic are encouraged to take part in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).

RCIA is a journey through various stages of spiritual formation, study, and prayer. RCIA educates adults about the Church, the Sacraments, and the Christian life, introducing them to what a committed Catholic life really looks like.

Upon completing RCIA, one is initiated at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Communion.

If you or someone you know is drawn to the Catholic Faith, please contact Deacon Charlie O’Donnell by calling the Ministry Center at 847-823-2550.
